Blue Economy Channel Builder

Job Summary:

At Blue Robotics, we’re on a mission to expand access to the ocean. Our tech is being used by everyone from educators and fish farmers to ecotour guides and passionate tinkerers—people who haven’t always had a seat at the marine robotics table. We’re building the tools and systems that help these communities dive in (literally and figuratively) and make ocean tech a part of their everyday work.

We’re looking for a human to join our team as a Blue Economy Channel Builder. What does that really mean? You’ll be working across some of our coolest strategic initiatives—like BlueSTEAM Ahead (education), Grow Line (aquaculture), and Bubble Time (recreation + ecotourism). You’ll help bring these programs to life, connect with the communities that use our products, and make sure we’re building systems that actually work for the people they’re meant for.

This isn’t a stay-in-your-chair-all-day kind of job. You’ll be out visiting classrooms, aquaculture farms, dive shops—anywhere our tech is being used in the wild. These visits are your chance to really understand what’s working, what’s not, and how we can be better. You’ll be the kind of person who listens first, asks smart questions, and always brings back insights that move us forward.

Day to day, you’ll be juggling internal team collabs, partner convos, project timelines, content creation, research, and the occasional “wait, what exactly is this new sector and how do we support it?” kind of brainstorm. You’ll need to be organized, independent, and comfortable handling complex projects without someone constantly checking in.

We’re looking for a thoughtful, curious, and mission-driven human who’s excited about the future of the blue economy. If you love the ocean/water in general, love meeting people doing amazing things in unexpected places, and are hungry to turn good ideas into real-world impact—we want to meet you!!!

Please include a cover letter in your application and let us know why you want to help Blue Robotics shape the future of the blue economy :-)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily coordination and execution within the BlueSTEAM Ahead, Grow Line, and Bubble Time initiatives
  • Maintain strategic partner relationships by providing regular communication, gathering insights from their experiences, and coordinating support where needed
  • Support partner engagements, including occasional in-person activities with key collaborators in classrooms, aquaculture farms, or recreational settings
  • Lead the development of resources such as guides, documentation, simple training materials, and operational playbooks that support technology adoption and market development
  • Track program and initiative progress through internal systems, ensuring activities are documented and outcomes are measured
  • Conduct research and analysis to understand market conditions, assess program performance, and surface new opportunities within our focus areas
  • Support channel building efforts by helping design and refine scalable systems that connect our products with users in education, aquaculture, recreation, and beyond
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication both inside the company and with external partners
  • Bring structured thinking, strong organization, and steady execution to help grow and solidify Blue Robotics’ presence in the emerging blue economy

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent 4-year degree)
  • 3+ years of full-time experience in B2B sales, program development, education, or another relevant role—bonus points if it’s in ocean tech, marine science, or something equally salty
  • A strategic thinker who can also zoom in on the details—someone who’s just as comfortable planning long-term growth as they are jumping into a spreadsheet or building a slide deck
  • Super organized and able to juggle multiple projects without breaking a sweat (or at least not visibly sweating 😅)
  • Great communicator who can build strong, trusted relationships with partners and teammates alike
  • Comfortable taking initiative and updating the team without being asked (you don’t wait around for permission)
  • Fluent in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides—you get it)
  • A team player with a love for learning, creative problem-solving, and thinking way outside the box
  • This is a hybrid role—we’re looking for someone who’s semi-local to Los Angeles and available for occasional in-person meetups and partner visits
  • Travel requirements: 30%-50%
  • Salary: $75k - $90k
